The guesthouse
Our home sits in the Warmia region, right on the shore of a small lake in the village of Zerbuń. We are immersed in the surrounding nature – meadows, forests, fields, wetlands – nature in its purest form. Quiet and calm take on a different dimension here. Quiet is quiet, and calm is calm. The house has 10 guest rooms, and we share our meals in a large, sunny dining room with a beautiful view over the meadow.
We spend our afternoons by the lake. We walk and delight in everything around us, and in the evening we love to sit by the fire and gaze up at the starry sky. On autumn and winter evenings the fireplace crackles cheerfully while we talk about life, enjoy a good drink and sometimes play cards.
The Highland Farm
Part of our home in Warmia is a farm of Scottish Highland cattle. The herd is made up of cows, bulls and calves of various colours. They are very lively, but despite their temperament and long horns — which give them a seemingly fierce look — they are very gentle.
Our cattle roam 60 hectares of beautiful meadows and forests, living amid a picturesque wetland. They are very friendly – they like people, and for a slice of bread they will let you win them over. You can see the animals up close from the viewpoint located near the farm, and even feed them dry bread from our kitchen.
The kitchen
Every dish we share with our Guests is created in our own kitchen. We listen to the nature around us and to the rhythm of the changing seasons. We love traditional Polish cuisine built on regional and seasonal produce.
We bake our own bread for breakfasts and dinners, make our own cured meats and smoke our own fish. We choose high-quality produce to draw out the flavour and aroma that will delight the Guests gathered around our table. You can read more about our cuisine in the TASTE section.
